Brazil, Peru and Costa Rica all through to last sixteen in U-17 World Cup

It has been a successful day for the Latin American teams in action today, as all three made their way into the last sixteen.

Peru edged out Costa Rica at the top of Group A thanks to a eighty-ninth minute strike from Carlos Balazar which gave them a 1-0 victory.

Brazil finished second in Group B after losing 2-1 to England despite taking the lead through Tales after nineteen minutes. England's winner came in stoppage time at the end of the game.

The final games in Groups C and D will be played tomorrow, with Argentina, Honduras and Haiti all mathematically able to qualify for the last sixteen.
