Valderrama Suspended for Ten Games for Improper Conduct

Carlos Valderrama, former Colombia international and purveyor of one of the finest haircuts football has ever seen, has been banned from the touchline for ten games and fined $5,000 for improper conduct, after seeing his Junior Barranquilla side lose 3-1 to America de Cali on the 31st October.

Valderrama waved 50,000 pesos in the direction of the referee, Oscar Julian Ruiz, to indicate that the referee could be easily bribed, after some crucial decisions went against his side.

The Colombian FA were obviously not best pleased with Valderrama for making his feelings towards the referee known in such a public manner and have decided to lay out a long touchline ban as well as a hefty fine.
