Only days after resigning from his position as manager of the Argentina Under-20 side, Hugo Tocalli has put himself forward for the soon to be vacant position at Velez Sarsfield.As we previously reported, Velez are looking for a replacement for Ricardo Lavolpe, who will leave the club as soon as they can find a successor.
Tocalli seems open to taking over, after being quoted as saying:
"Without doubt Velez is an important club, but I must also evaluate the other possibilities. Vélez is a very attractive club to go to direct".
The directors of Velez are said to have been pleased that Tocalli has thrown his hat into the ring and are thought to be keen to meet with him next week to discuss the possibility of him taking charge.
