Brazilian Skills on the BBC

The BBC Sport website has been running a series of video tutorials, showing some of skills utilised by the top Brazilian footballers over the years, including the likes of Zico, Rai, Leonardo, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and Robinho.

The tutorials can be accessed from:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/skills/default.stm

They offer an intriguing look at some of the most well known skills in the football world and should be of interest, even if you don't intend on copying the moves yourself. Definitely recommended viewing.

South American Skills Part 1 - Copa Sudamericana

This is hopefully going to be a weekly/twice weekly feature depending on which matches I can get hold of footage for. Basically, this is a video showing all the skills on show in the Sao Paulo vs Boca Juniors and River Plate vs Botafogo games.

The players featured, in order, are:

1. Dagoberto (Sao Paulo)
2. Alosio (Sao Paulo)
3. Ibarra (Boca Juniors)
4. Alosio again (Sao Paulo)
5. Bellushi (River Plate)

Enjoy!

Kerlon's Seal Dribble is Back - Still Annoying Defenders

Kerlon and his infamous Seal Dribble are back, and it is still annoying defenders. Although not quite as vicious as the Colombian defenders' attempts to stop him, back when he originally debuted the Seal Dribble a couple of years ago at the South American Under 17 Championships, this reaction from Atletico Mineiro defenders last week is still pretty hostile.

Its nice to see Kerlon back to full fitness and finally breaking through as a consistent first team player. He has a bright future ahead of him, but needs to learn when to use this skill, because if he regularly creates this sort of reaction from opposition players, you have to wonder how long it will be before someone causes him serious injury.
