Breno in Germany For Bayern Medical

Sao Paulo's young defender Breno is on his way to Germany in order to undergo a medical with Bayern Munich and agree personal terms with the Bundesliga club.

It is thought that Bayern have not yet come to an agreement with Sao Paulo over the transfer fee, but the Brazilian club are resigned to seeing their young star leave in January and are likely to accept the $18million offer than is on the table within the next couple of weeks.

Breno, 18, was named in Placar's team of Brazilian League 07/08 and has also attracted the interest of Fiorentina and Real Madrid in the last year.

Breno's Father Thinks Bayern Would Be The Best Move

Breno has been linked with a number of top European clubs such as Real Madrid and AC Milan, but it seems that his father is set on a move to Bayern Munich after he was given a tour of their facilities.

Speaking to Lance!, Breno senior said:

"I'm ready to take the kid there. From what I've seen it's a great idea for Breno to join Bayern."

"That's no disrespect towards São Paulo, but they really have some incredible installations there and I also talked a lot with Zé Roberto [ex-Santos], and analysed everything that I had seen before coming to this conclusion."

It seems Breno is keen to get straight into first team football and Bayern are willing to offer that to the young Brazilian, whereas Real and Milan may not be able to do so.

According to Breno senior "the only concrete proposal that's come through has been from Bayern," which seems to suggest that Breno could to set for a move to the Bundesliga come January.

Bayern Munich Chase Sao Paulo Youngster Breno

Bayern Munich are the latest club to express an interest in Sao Paulo's young defender Breno and are thought to have submitted an offer of 15million Euros to secure his services.

Breno, 18, has been attracting a lot of attention following some excellent displays for the championship winning side, with Real Madrid also thought to have been in discussions with Sao Paulo over the youngster's future.

Sao Paulo are desperate to keep hold of Breno for the Copa Libertadores next year. If Bayern would agree to him staying with the Brazilian club until the summer, it may sway the deal in their favour, with Real Madrid thought to want the player in January.

Real Madrid Chase Sao Paulo Youngster Breno

Real Madrid are thought to be pursuing Sao Paulo defender Breno, with Robinho's agent Wagner Ribeiro involved in discussions with both clubs.

Breno, 18, currently has a buy-out clause of 15million Euros in his Sao Paulo contract, with Real Madrid keen to pay the fee in the January transfer window. However, Sao Paulo wish to keep hold of Breno for their Copa Libertadores campaign and would be more willing to part with the player next summer.

The problem Sao Paulo face is that if Real Madrid pay the buy-out clause, then they effectively decide when Breno will join them. Sao Paulo are therefore keen for Breno to sign a new contract with a buy-out clause of 40million Euros to avoid him leaving the club in January.

The negotiations are therefore very complicated, with Ribeiro brought in to try and find an amicable solution that will be agreeable for both sides.
