Brazil: Lourenço Names South American U-20 Championship Squad

Brazil U-20 coach Rogério Lourenço has named his twenty man squad for the South American U-20 Championship that will take place in Venezuela between the 19th January and the 9th February 2009.

Corinthians striker Dentinho, fresh from his side's promotion to back to Serie A, is expected to play a prominent role during the tournament, while Marquinhos - currently of Vitoria but a target for Palmeiras - is likely to receive similar billing in the pre-tournament previews after a superb debut season in the Brazilian top flight.

Internacional are the best represented club with three players (Sandro, Tales and Walter), while Cruzeiro, Gremio, Goias and Atletico MG all have two players included in Lourenco's selection.

Brazil have been drawn in Group A of the tournament, alongside Paraguay, Chile, Bolivia and Uruguay, and will travel to Venezuela on the 17th January following a month and a half-long training camp punctuated by a short break for Christmas.

Midfielders: Sandro (Internacional), Ze Eduardo (Cruzeiro), Maylson (Gremio), Giuliano (Parana), Douglas Costa (Gremio), Tales (Internacional)
