San Lorenzo striker Andres Silvera skipped training on Friday in an attempt to force through a transfer to Mexican side Monterrey, who have offered 1.8million Euros for his services.
Silvera, 30, previously played in Mexico for Tigres between 2003 and 2006, and is thought to be keen to return to the country for the 2008 Clausura.
However, San Lorenzo are hopeful that he will turn up for training today, with coach Ramon Diaz demanding "explanations" for Silvera's no show on Friday.
El Cuqui was a vital part of the San Lorenzo side who won this year's Clausura championship and losing him ahead of their 2008 Copa Libertadores campaign would be a massive blow for Los Cuervos.
