Portsmouth Linked With Move for Cuevas

Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp is thought to be interested in acquiring the services of Paraguayan striker Nelson Cuevas, who is available on a free transfer after quitting Mexican side Club America.

Redknapp is looking to add some extra depth to his attacking options and has identified Cuevas, 27, as the man to fulfil this need.

However, Cuevas doesn't have a great strike record at either club or international level and it would be a risk for Redknapp to bring him to Portsmouth as he also lacks a significant physical presence, which could see him struggle to adapt to the English game.
