Caio, or Caio Cesar Alves dos Santos for those with good memories, is an attacking-midfielder currently plying his trade for Brazilian side Palmeiras.The 21 year old has been impressive form in the last couple of months as part of a Palmeiras side pushing for a Copa Libertadores qualifying place. He has linked up impressively with the team's playmaker Jorge Valdivia in the midfield.
His style is reminiscent of Villarreal's Chilean midfielder Matias Fernandez, with pacey yet skillful dribbling and a powerful shot behind him. He is also an expert from dead ball situations, consistently able to put the ball on a plate, both when shooting and crossing. He recently scored directly from a corner against Santos.
Caio definitely has a big future ahead of him, although suprisingly his name has yet to be linked with any European sides.
