With ten games remaining in the season, Sao Paulo currently hold a twelve point advantage over Cruzeiro at the top of the table with Gremio Porto Alegre and Santos a further four and six points behind respectively.
At the bottom of the table, America Natal are all but relegated, having only achieved 13 points so far this season. Juventude, Corinthians and Atletico Mineiro currently occupy the other relegation places, but everyone up to Vasco da Gama in eighth will be looking over their shoulders in the remaining games, as only seven points currently separate Vasco from 17th place team Atletico Mineiro.
