Aimar and D'Alessandro Close to Blows in Training Incident

Argentine midfielders Pablo Aimar and Andres D'Alessandro came close to fighting one another after a training ground bust-up at Real Zaragoza today.

The incident came about after D'Alessandro had a goal disallowed in a training match. Aimar and D'Alessandro started to argue over the reasoning, with the discussion soon turning aggressive. Diego Milito and Sergio Fernandez had to separate the players before the argument turned to violence.

Aimar played down the incident:

"In training, when one trains well and hard it often happens. When it does not happen is is worrying because one is not working with the intensity that they should be. We are all highly motivated".

D'Alessandro refused to speak to reporters upon leaving the training ground.
