Brazil pulled off a shock yesterday, ending the USA's 51 match unbeaten run with a 4-0 victory in the Women's World Cup Semi-Final.
Inspired by Marta, Brazil swept their more illustrious (in Women's football) opponents aside with a brilliant display of attacking football in the true tradition of Brazil.
A Leslie Osborne own goal gave Brazil the lead after twenty minutes, and once Marta added a second, seven minutes later, they never looked like relinquishing their advantage. Second half goals from Cristiane, and a second from Marta sealed a famous victory, and consigned the USA to the largest defeat in their history.
Brazil will now face Germany in Sunday's final in Shanghai.
