Tuesday Transfer Gossip

Manchester City are apparantly at the head of the queue for Adriano's signature. The Daily Mirror reports that the player has rejected a loan move as he is keen to secure a permanent transfer away from Inter Milan. City will have to fork out £10million to take the Brazilian striker to the Eastlands.

Middlesbrough's Julio Arca is unaware of any interest from former club Sunderland. Sky Sports report that Roy Keane's side are thought to be lining up a £5million bid for the Argentine.

Finally, it seems that Liverpool are in discussions to sign Julio Baptista. Marca (Spanish link) report that the Premiership side have offered 20million Euros for the Brazilian forward, and that it is now down to Baptista to decide whether or not he wishes to move back to England, where he was on loan with Arsenal last season.
