In a statement released by the Italian club today, they have confirmed the signing of Brazilian starlet Alexandre Pato from Internacional.Their statement reads:
"The highly-talented Alexandre Pato will train with Milan and will be able to play friendly matches from September 3, 2007.
"From January 2008, he will be eligible for competitive games."
The fee is believed to be in the region of £10million, according to Sky Sports.Brazilian news network ClicRBS (Portugese link) report Pato as saying that the opportunity to play alongside his idol Ronaldo was a big part in his decision to join AC Milan ahead of the other clubs who were vying for his signature.
